Kenneth F. Mattucci, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Mattucci is a 1964 graduate of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University, where he graduated at the top of his class and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. He completed his surgical training at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center, and Otolaryngology training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Following a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center, he entered into private practice in 1970. Dr. Mattucci is a Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
He is the former Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the North Shore University Hospital Manhasset Campus from 1975-2004, a Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the New York University Medical Center, Medical Director of the Department of Communication Disorders since 1971; former Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and past President of the Medical Staff Society and Medical Board at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, and Advisory Executive Surgeon Director, Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York City. He also is a Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at New York Medical College. At the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary he was Chief of the Neurotology section for twenty years, a member of the medical board, and served with distinction as a member of the Board of Trustees of that institution, the first of its kind in the western hemisphere.
Dr. Mattucci's principle areas of expertise are in disorders of the ear, hearing and balance, and nasal-sinus surgery.

He has served as President of the New York State Society of Otolaryngology, the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology, the New York Academy of Medicine Section of Otolaryngology, the New York Otologic Society, the New York Laryngological Society, and he is active with the Nassau County Peer Review Committee, the Board of Directors of the American College of Surgeons, Brooklyn-Long Island Chapter, IPRO and leadership positions in numerous county, state and hospital committees, boards and organizations. Dr. Mattucci is completing his second 3 year term as Governor of the American College of Surgeons, ending in 2007.
Dr. Mattucci was an associate editor of the Journal of the International College of Surgeons and has served on editorial boards and as an editorial reviewer for several peer reviewed journals, has published more than fifty major scientific papers, chapters and textbooks, and has made more than 150 major scientific presentations worldwide. He is active in clinical research activities and is a leader and innovator in the education of medical students, residents and physicians in the United States and abroad. His distinguished career includes many local and national honors and awards. He is listed as one of the best doctors in the New York Metropolitan area since 1996 and his many academic and scientific achievements and contributions have recognized and elected him into Who's Who in: Science and Engineering, Health and Medicine, America, the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, and as International Man of the Year.
