Philip W. Perlman, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Philip Perlman is a 1983 graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed his Otolaryngology training at Albany Medical Center in 1988. Here he was well trained in all aspects of the field, including pediatric ENT, head and neck surgery and in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery from its infancy in the late 1980s.
From Albany, Dr. Perlman went to Florida where he furthered his education by participating in a Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, and since has become board certified by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has been with North Shore Otolaryngology Associates since 1989.
Dr. Perlman currently treats patients medically and surgically in all aspects of ear, nose and throat disorders, and in his practice enjoys working with all age groups. Since his joining NSOA, Dr. Perlman has participated in many educational and political activities. He has taken many advanced courses in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Laser Surgery, and has participated in a pediatric lecture series. At North Shore University Hospital, he is the Chief of the Tracheotomy Care Committee, gives lectures to medical students and residents, and at St. Francis Hospital he participates in a continuing Smoke Enders lecture series. Dr. Perlman is widely published and has made presentations on many aspects of Otolaryngology including Rhinoplastic techniques, facial scar revisions and swallowing disorders.

- Featured on television discussing the latest anti-snoring technology, sinusitis and allergic rhinitis
- Chairman of the Young Surgeons Committee of the Brooklyn and Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons from 1997-1999
